Brand Identity

The City Table

When The City Table transitioned to new ownership, they saw it as the perfect opportunity to reimagine their brand—one that would reflect not only their high-quality coffee and food, but also the heart behind their space: a welcoming place of community.

The name “The City Table” was inspired by its home inside The City House building, and even more so by the idea of a table—a place where people gather, connect, and share life.

A Visual Identity that Represents Core Offerings

Our design approach wove together the shop’s two core offerings: exceptional coffee and thoughtfully prepared food. It was important that the brand visually reflect both the warmth of a neighborhood café and the elevated quality of their menu.

Color Palette & Iconography

A warm, grounded color palette was chosen to reflect the welcoming, community-centered spirit of the brand. The iconography is modern yet approachable, thoughtfully derived from key brand elements to maintain visual consistency and support the overall identity.

Interior and Exterior Signage

As they prepared for their grand-reopening, we worked with fabricators to incorporate the brand into interior and exterior signage.

Alternate Concept: A Brighter Take on The City Table

Although this direction wasn’t ultimately chosen, it remains one of my favorite concepts—capturing the heart of the brand in a way that felt fresh, meaningful, and deeply tied to place.
