Brand Identity
The City Table (Alternate Concept)
A Brighter Take on The City Table! Though this direction wasn’t chosen, it remains one of my favorite concepts—capturing the heart of the brand in a way that felt fresh, meaningful, and deeply tied to Kansas City.
As part of the rebranding process for The City Table, I explored and presented two distinct visual directions. This concept, while ultimately not selected, leaned into a brighter, more cheerful tone. With a fresh color palette and playful, friendly elements, this version aimed to reflect the joy of gathering around a table and embody their tagline: Good Food—Good Mood.
Symbolic Logo Design
At the heart of the design was a custom line-art logo: a table with a fountain springing from its center. The fountain cleverly doubled as a human figure—symbolizing life springing from the table itself. It was a visual metaphor for what community should be: life-giving, welcoming, and connected.
It also subtly nodded to Kansas City’s identity as “the city of fountains,” grounding the brand in its local roots.
